Cleadon (SR6) is a suburban village in South Tyneside, North East England in the county of Tyne and Wear. The village is around 5 miles (8.0 km) from the city of Sunderland and 10 miles (16 km) from the city of Newcastle. There are two pubs in Cleadon Village, the Britannia Inn and the Cottage Tavern, along with shops including Bon Appetit Deli, Boutique Bijoux, Happy Organic, Romanos Italian restaurant, chemist, paper shop and garage. Central Cleadon plays home to a park, formerly the grounds of Cleadon House, which incorporates the stunning Bluebell woods.

Also in close proximity are The Primrose Hill Hospital and the Elmtree Unit at Monkton Hall are based in Jarrow, the latter of which forms part of the Learning Disability Service within South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust.
